Third Las Vegas Aces Victory Parade to Shut Down Las Vegas Strip
On Friday, October 17, the Las Vegas Aces will have their third WNBA championship triumph parade and rally in four years, shutting down the Las Vegas Strip. On Friday, October 10, at Footprint Center in Phoenix, the Aces defeated the Phoenix Mercury 97-86 in Game 4 of the finals to complete a 4-0 sweep.
At Tropicana Avenue and Las Vegas Boulevard, the celebrations will start at 5 p.m. Similar to earlier Aces parades, this one will head north along Las Vegas Boulevard's southbound lanes, then left onto Park Avenue and Connector Road, and finish outside T-Mobile Arena at Toshiba Plaza.
There will be live music and heartfelt speeches throughout the two-hour event. (Rapper 2 Chainz performed in 2023.)
Organizers invite supporters to form a line along the west side of Las Vegas Boulevard and Park Avenue in order to witness the rally.
Public access to Toshiba Plaza will begin at 3 p.m., and the festivities are anticipated to last until approximately 7:30 p.m. At 4 p.m., an official Aces pop-up store will open at Toshiba Plaza.
Closures
Bad news for tourists trying to navigate the Las Vegas Strip for any other reason, but great news for Las Vegas Aces supporters excited to celebrate their beloved WNBA team.
It will be impossible to drive on the Strip starting on Friday at 3 p.m. Make plans to walk a lot more than usual, through much heavier people. RTC buses won't operate, but monorails will. South of Tropicana Avenue, rideshare drop-offs are encouraged.
