At Thunder Valley Casino Resort in California, a well-known poker player won almost $1.2 million on Monday night after spending almost 12 hours playing slots.
After a 12-hour slots session in which he wagered $125 each hand, Allen "Chainsaw" Kessler emerged as the fortunate jackpot winner.
"I can’t believe that,” he was heard to say on a video after winning the money. “Oh my God… Did that really happen… I’ve been sitting here 12 hours.”
The machine yielded just about $1,210,108 in winnings.
Later, Kessler wrote, "Nothing is bothering me today," on X, a platform that was formerly known as Twitter.
He said, "Omg this just f***n' happened!" in a different post proclaiming the victory.
Kessler was playing an Aristocrat Gaming Buffalo Power Pay slot machine when he hit the big prize.
The resident of Las Vegas has been Thunder Valley's "loyal patron" for more than ten years, according to a statement from the casino. He frequently plays the slots at the casino establishment in Lincoln, California, and participates in poker tournaments.
“I have been very lucky at Thunder Valley over the years, and I love coming here,” Kessler said in a statement.
Kessler is well-known for his achievements at poker. According to the BroBible website, he has participated in the World Series of Poker (WSOP) and has won four WSOP Circuit rings in addition to almost $2.3M. He won roughly $30K at the most recent 2024 World Series of Poker in Las Vegas.
Wikipedia states that Kessler has made over $3.87 million in his career.

On Friday, an unidentified guest at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas won over $2.1 million. The individual had wagered $3 on an International Game Technologies Wheel of Fortune slot machine.
